Unfortunately, there is only a few online free documents that provide pilot basic knowledge. We recommend you had a look to:

 Le pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge, an outstanding manual published by the US Department of Transportation and the FAA
  Airplane Flying Handbook, a FAA publication designed as a technical manual to introduce basic pilot knowledge that is essential for piloting airplanes
 Wiljam Pilot Training Site, A large number of documents for preparing the JAA/CAA ATPL theory exams, a very complete link
 The Charles Wood's Navigation tutorial devoted to FS enthusiasts that addresses everything from basic navigation to the full range of instrument approaches
 FlightSimBooks A collection of online flight simulator books (learning to fly, realistic commercial flying, flying on instruments, etc) is freely available on the FlightSimBooks web site ; you will also find additional articles
 Some web sites also offer well written articles on different aspects of aeronautical knowledge, particularly site de John S. Denker (See How It Flies)site Aviation-fr.info.
