Maastricht area opening

MAASTRICHT RADAR, HELLO !

The IVAO HQ Events Department is pleased to present Maastricht Upper Area Control (MUAC) Opening Event. This event celebrates an IVAO effort to bring the MUAC into our network and marks the official opening of this ACC position by the IVAO HQ ATC Operations Department.

As in real life, the MUAC operates as an upper control between the FL245 and FL660 – providing air traffic services to civil and military aircraft from/to, or flying-by, in the upper airspace of four countries: Belgium (Brussels UIR), Luxembourg (Brussels UIR), Netherlands (Amsterdam FIR), and the north-west of Germany (Hannover UIR).

PILOTS

There are three ways you can participate in this event as a pilot:

  • IFR Airbridge – from London Heathrow (EGLL) to Berlin Schönefeld (EDDB), or vice-versa.
  • IFR Airbridge – from Paris Charles De Gaulle (LFPG) to Copenhagen Kastrup (EKCH), or vice-versa.
  • IFR Fly-in/out – from or to Amsterdam Schiphol (EHAM).

We strongly advise that you read the PILOT BRIEFING available for this event. Among other important pieces of information, it contains routes to help preparing your flight.
