Your career in the IVAO network evolves as your connection times and exams. Here is the list of ATC and Pilot ratings and the corresponding qualifying conditions.

ATC ratings

	ATC Trainee	AS2	Own the AS1 rating Have completed at least 10 hours¹ of online ATC activity²
	Advanced ATC Trainee	AS3	Own the AS2 rating Have completed at least 25 hours¹ of online ATC activity Pass the Aurora theoretical test³ (in English)
	Aerodrome Controller	ADC	Own the AS3 rating Have completed at least 50 hours¹ of online ATC activity Pass the theoretical test³ and the practical ADC exam
	Approach Controller	APC	Own the ADC rating Have completed at least 100 hours¹ of online ATC activity Pass the theoretical test³ and the practical APC exam
	Center Controller	ACC	Own the APC rating Have completed at least 200 hours¹ of online ATC activity Pass the theoretical test³ and the practical ACC exam
	Senior Controller	SEC	Own the ACC rating for at least one year Own the SPP pilot rating Have completed at least 1000 hours¹ of online ATC activity Never have been suspend during the year preceding the request Pass the theoretical test³ and the two parts of the practical SEC exam⁴
	Senior ATC Instructor	SAI	Special rating issued by the Training Director (IVAO-TD) and the Training Assistant Director (IVAO-TAD) experienced HQ instructors and examiners of the Training HQ department
	Chief ATC Instructor	CAI	Honorary rating issued to past and present IVAO-TD and IVAO-TAD

	Private Pilot	PP	Own the FS3 rating Have completed at least 50 hours of online flight activity Pass the theoretical test³ and the practical PP exam
	Senior Private Pilot	SPP	Own the PP rating Have completed at least 100 hours of online flight activity Pass the theoretical test³ and the practical SPP exam
	Commercial Pilot IFR	CP	Own the SPP rating Have completed at least 200 hours of online flight activity Pass the theoretical test³ and the practical CP exam
	Airline Transport Pilot	ATP	Own the CP rating for at least 3 months Have completed at least 750 hours of online flight activity Pass the theoretical test³ and the two parts of the practical ATP exam⁴
	Senior Flight Instructor	SFI	Special rating issued by the Training Director (IVAO-TD) and the Training Assistant Director (IVAO-TAD) experienced HQ instructors and examiners of the Training HQ department

Notes:

Only the connection times in an active ATC position are counted. Hours connected as observer are not taken into account.
The rating on the member profile is updated automatically at 12:00 UTC.
To pass your theoretical tests or to request your practical exams, log on to your "Exam Status" area.
The SEC and ATP exams are not managed at the level of the France division but directly by the Training HQ department.
