Time to get back to it!

This year, we are proud to produce new concepts, at least regarding our Online Day, as we decided to introduce an enhanced formula for the months to come: Online Day becomes Online Challenge Day.

Like the Online Day before, our new Event is taking place every 2 weeks, on Tuesdays and it will henceforth allow you to freely fly across France or open your favorite ATC position. BUT, every edition of this event will bring one of our FIR into the spotlights, alongside an airport, type of flight throughout a different challenge. Yeah, of course, we have a few surprise nights in our pockets, and overseas territories are on board!

These challenges aim to present something different to do every 2 weeks, to challenge yourself, discover or rediscover many ways of flying across the skies of our beautiful division.

Online Challenge Day will be released with one week notice. Please refer to the Rules section to find new conditions to be awarded one point toward the Online Day.

Here are the details of the Online Challenge Day, on 26^th October 2021 :

Enough pastry recipes, it's time to sweat, for this challenge that will require rapidity and knowledge of your aircraft!

 Airports

La Rochelle (LFBH), Nantes (LFRS), Paris-Orly (LFPO), Dole-Tavaux (LFGJ) et Lyon Saint-Éxupéry (LFLL) will be controlled during the evening (yeah, I'm sure you start to see where I'm going with this...).

We are going to fly between all these airports! Yes : all in one night. To achieve this, depart from La Rochelle (LFBH) fly toward LFRS, LFPO, LFGJ and perform an approach and a missed approach, to finally land at Lyon (LFLL). You can choose to take-off from LFLL and do the flight toward La Rochelle as well.

Also, to help you and our ATC, we would like to present 2 options. You can either:

• Perform on the route by yourself (attention, you need to be able to configure your FMS to achieve this flight); or,
• ATCs will be fully available to assist and vector you if you need any assistance or get lost! Just let them know.

 Charts

Don't forget that you can get any required chart from the SIA website, either in the AIP section for IFR flights or in the Preflight briefing for VAC.

 Sceneries

IVAO France compiles most of regional and airport sceneries within a list, regularly updated available from the IVAO France website, Pilot section.

 ATC

Booking your position is still managed by the IVAO booking system. Do not hesitate to ask FIR staff to assist: they love helping people!

Event rules

You are still entitled to receive points toward the Online Day Award. You are to fill a participation report (Pilots & ATCs) from your dashboard or from the Event page.

One point will be awarded under the following conditions:

• Every pilot flying from OR to a french airport, including Oversea territories;
• Every ATC opening an ATC position under France division authority, for at least one hour and during the timeframe of the event.

To be awarded, do not forget to fill in the participation report after the Event!
