Les 24h du Mans

Let's celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the race!

In 2023, we will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the first edition that took place in 1923. The race is expected to start at 16:00 local time, on Saturday, June 10th. On Friday, June 9th, from 19:00 UTC to 21:00 UTC, we are hoping to see you at Le Mans airport (LFRM) to bring all the guests to destination.

 PILOTS

Observing one of these two scenarios is essential for this show:

  • Scenario n°1: A few hours earlier, a couple of celebrities arrived at Nantes airport. With a helicopter or a light aircraft, fly VFR from Nantes (LFRS) to Le Mans (LFRM).
  • Scenario n°2: Other celebrities are not that patient and want to land at Le Mans directly. With a private aircraft, you have to bring passengers from whatever you want to Le Mans (LFRM) under IFR conditions.

Due to the airport configuration and its runway length, commercial aircraft (such as Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, etc) are not allowed at this airport. If you fly with this type aircraft, you will be diverted to Nantes airport (LFRS).

Please remember:

  • Be ready and have your charts;
  • If you fly under IFR conditions, you will be asked to follow radar vectoring and potentially enter a holding;
  • Pay attention not to obstruct ongoing communication, particularly joining a new frequency;
  • Do not hesitate to take more fuel than expected. Some delays could occur;
  • Enjoy ! :)
