Atlantic Crossing Westbound

The Atlantic crossing westbound event is back!


IVAO HQ Event department is proud to present you the classic Atlantic crossing westbound event.

Every day, thousands of passengers fly across the Atlantic Ocean westbound, and you will allow us to do the same on the network. ATC will be provided all along the journey.


Don't hesitate, come fly with us across the ocean on April 8th


 PILOTS

After a good night's sleep, drink some coffee, and get ready for a long flight. You will have two possibilities to take part in this event:

  1. Under IFR, from Nice (LFMN) or Munich (EDDM), fly to Montréal (CYUL) :
    • You shall take off between 1000z and 1200z
    • You shall respect the routes here bellow 
  2. Under IFR, from London (EGLL) ou Warsaw (EPWA), fly to Boston Logan (KBOS) :
    • You shall take off between 1000z and 1200z
    • You shall respect the routes here bellow


The routes are available here, and are mandatory to follow 

Please remember:

  • This is a long-haul flight, be ready!
  • Oceanic procedures are quite different as usual (Do not hesitate to visit the IVAO Oceanic FIR website);
  • Have your charts and updated AIRAC;
  • You could follow radar vectors or holdings at any moment;
  • Be patient and be careful not to interrupt other pilots or ATC (especially when joining a frequency) ;
  • Have fun!
