Ready for a circling approach?

To begin spring, the IVAO French Events department invites you to a dual airbridge between Bâle (LFSB) and Ajaccio (LFKJ) airports on Sunday, March 24th from 14:00 UTC to 18:00 UTC. You should expect a circling approach at destination. Are you ready to test your skills about the circling approach?

 PILOTS

The French Flight Operations department suggests you to follow these IFPS-validated routes during this event:

  • LFSB - LFKJ: MOROK T14 GILIR DCT TUROM DCT MILPA DCT KOGAS DCT MEDAM DCT VEVAR UM623 KOLON DCT OMARD M623 VAREK [Odd FL, FL210 - FL410]

Due to the approach constraints, only medium aircrafts maximum (such as A320, B737) will be allowed for this event.

Due to the event concept, we encourage all the pilots to read carefully this pilot briefing available HERE (in French only).
A specific approach has been created at Ajaccio if necessary, the chart is available HERE (Used for simulation only).

Rappelez-vous aussi :

  • Be ready and have your charts;
  • You will be asked to potentially enter a holding;
  • Pay attention not to obstruct ongoing communication, particularly joining a new frequency;
  • Do not hesitate to take more fuel than expected. Some delays could occur;
  • Enjoy :)
