Welcome to Basel-Mulhouse!

This Sunday, May 31 from 10:00 UTC to 18:00 UTC, the Events Department of the France division as well as Reims FIR are pleased to invite you to the Basel-Mulhouse RFO.

Why RFO and not RFE? An RFO (Real Flight Operations) is based on the same principle as an RFE, except that the flights offered do not exactly match the real-life schedule, for various reasons, particularly network capacity constraints.

About the booking system:

Booking a flight is mandatory in order to benefit from the HQE point (see Rules section below). Without a booking, you can still fly but will not have priority;
Bookings will open from 10/05/2026 at 10:00 UTC;
After booking your flight, you must confirm your reservation. If you have not already done so, a reminder email will be sent to you on 24/05/2026 at 10:00 UTC (please check your spam folder and feel free to contact us if you still cannot find it);
You must confirm your reservation before 29/05/2026 at 22:00 UTC. If not, your booking will be canceled and the slot will become available again;
You will not be able to book more than two flights until 30/05/2026 at 10:00 UTC. After this time, you may book as many flights as you wish.

To fly on the day and during the event time window, it is mandatory to book a flight in advance via the booking system. If you have not booked, you will not have priority for arrival or departure.

Also remember:

Be ready and have your charts available;
On arrival, you may be required to follow guidance or enter a holding pattern;
Be patient and avoid interrupting ongoing communications (especially when joining a frequency);
Consider carrying extra fuel;

Event rules

This event will be awarded one point for the Pilot Events award for every pilot flying a booked flight in the booking system during the event timeframe.
