Because all good things, must come to an end..

Well, here we are! Whether or not you were familiar with the mysterious events at the FIR in Marseille (Common thread), they have certainly been a wonderful tradition of the FIR. After all the TMAs (Clermont, Lyon, Montpellier, Provence, Nice, and Corsica, to name a few), we simply couldn’t end this series with something ordinary.

So the Marseille FIR and the Events Department invite you to the grand finale of this event series, where variables decide for you (throttling, holds, etc.)! For this final edition, we’ll be waiting for you on Saturday, September 5, between 19h00 UTC and 21h00 UTC, departing from Marseille-Provence (LFML) for a flight to a... mystery destination.

 PILOTS

Your mission :

• You must complete a flight that will be assigned to you departing from LFML.
• To do so, you must log in to Marseille-Provence Airport (LFML) with a flight plan (FPL): LFML-ZZZZ
• Follow the instructions given to you by staff members and air traffic controllers.

Please remember:

• Be ready and have your charts;
• You may be asked to follow heading, proceed directly to waypoints (or hold);
• Pay attention not to obstruct ongoing communication, particularly joining a new frequency;
• Do not hesitate to take more fuel than expected

Event rules

This event will be awarded one point for the Pilot Events award for every pilot participating in the event and flying outbound LFML into the assigned destination during the event's timeframe.
