Seaplane at Biscarosse

Ready to make a sea-landing?

Summer is far away and winter is coming! French Events department invite you to a VFR flight on Saturday, October 12th from 15:00 UTC to 17:00 UTC. Bring your best seaplane from Bordeaux, going to Biscarrosse!

 PILOTES

For this flight, we encourage to use a seaplane, category A aircraft.

Leave from Bordeaux airport (LFBD) to Biscarrosse. Once arrived at destination, you must perform a touch-and-go at Biscarrosse seaplane base (LFHB), then go back to Bordeaux.
If you are not at ease to perform a sea-landing, touching down at Biscarrosse airfield (LFBS) is possible.

You are not compulsory to use a seaplane, as long as it is a category A aircraft maximum.

To relieve Aquitaine FIS frequency, Biscarrosse Tower will also provide flight information service to seaplanes performing a touch-and-go at Biscarrosse seaplane base (LFHB).

Please remember:

  • Be ready and have your charts onboard;
  • Pay attention not to obstruct ongoing communication, particularly joining a new frequency;
  • Do not hesitate to take more fuel than expected. Some delays could occur;
  • Enjoy! :)
