SO TOUR 2022 Part 1 - Jetfighters.
Inside the cockpit of multiple combat aircraft, you will discover or rediscover jetfighter flight in different missions and exercises.
This tour includes 15 legs that will take you across France and French territories.
Regulations
General rules for tours:
- These general rules for tours are applicable to all French division pilot tours. ATC tours and Special Operations tours are excluded.
- Some tours might have specific rules. In case of conflict, specific rules overrule general rules.
- All flights must be performed online on the IVAO network, with real weather. They have to be accomplished in real time (simulation rate x1 only, accelerated mode prohibited).
- Legs must be accomplished in the published order.
- Speed restrictions IAS < 250 kts below FL100 must be observed.
- Maximum speed in cruise is M0.85 with a maximum FL450.
- During cruise phases, a disconnection of up to 20 minutes is tolerated, provided that it does not disturb network operations, especially under ATC coverage. Please report any disconnection in your pilot report.
- The use of UNICOM in text or voice mode, in the absence of active ATC online, is MANDATORY. Legs may be rejected if not compliant.
- All legs must be validated by sending a pilot report. It is essential to read and understand the validator's comment for each leg, even if the leg is validated. We advise not proceeding with the tour without validation of the previous leg.
- Pilot reports must be sent within 12 days following the flight date. Any leg submitted after this deadline will be rejected.
- The pilot report must include the list of ATCs contacted during the flight and the procedures flown throughout the flight.
- A direct routing is allowed only with ATC instruction. Please mention any direct obtained in the pilot report.
- It is mandatory to disconnect from the network at the end of each flight.
- Pilots should pay particular attention to:
- In IFR:
- Odd/Even semicircular parity;
- Minimum and maximum airway altitudes;
- Published procedures when ATC is offline.
- In VFR:
- Aerodrome traffic circuit integrations;
- Prohibited (P) areas, as well as Restricted (R) areas when active (Special Operations link).
- In IFR:
- Pay close attention to your flight plan:
- Flight plans with incorrect or misspelled departure/arrival aerodromes will be rejected;
- Filed equipment must be compatible with the aircraft used.
- The prevailing flight plan will be the one active at takeoff. Airborne modifications will not be accepted.
- Operating flights under military or any other Special Operations flight type is not allowed. The flight type must strictly be G, S, or N.
- The use of military aircraft as described in 10.1 of the Special Operations Rules is prohibited on civilian tours.
- Pilots are required to be connected to the network at least 2 minutes before takeoff and remain connected for at least 2 minutes after landing. This allows the tracker to record your flight entirely.
- An IFR route, IFPS-compliant at the time of publication, may be proposed on some legs. This is only a suggestion; you are free to file your own route!
- A single flight can only be reported once, for one leg on one tour, even if the flight meets the requirements of 2 or more tours.
- Flights with two pilots using shared cockpit functionality are permitted on division tours. However, only the "master" pilot of the connection is allowed to submit a pilot report. The second pilot, connected as an observer, is not permitted to file a report for the leg flown.
- Should there be any inquiry or contestation following a leg evaluation, it must be sent exclusively by email to the validator. Supported languages are English and French. Messages must be sent no later than 7 days after the leg evaluation, clearly specifying the report ID.
- The use of the IVAO France Tracker is optional on all tours, except Skills tours.
Specific rules to the SO TOUR 2022 Part 1 - Jetfighters. tour:
This tour is reserved to the members included in the special operations authorization list (Rule 1.6). For non-division member, please contact us to obtain a granted number
• This tour is reserved for military jet fighter aircraft. The exact model(s) of aircraft to be used is specified in the briefing for each leg.
• The legs must be flown following their order, connected online on the IVAO network and with real weather.
• Each flight must be performed in real time (simulation speed x1). "Accelerated" mode is prohibited.
• The submission of a correct flight plan is mandatory for the leg to be validated. In particular:
• Use of a military CALLSIGN (see list of CALLSIGN)
• Use of the military flight type (M)
• Indication in field 18 (Remarks): " RMK/TSO1FR2022”.
• The presence of ATC is not necessary for the validation of the leg. However, it is reminded that any pilot performing a flight in an area covered by an ATC (civil or military) must contact him and follow his instructions.
• It is mandatory to follow the published departure and arrival procedures. The executed procedures must be specified in the flight report.
• It is mandatory to disconnect at the end of each flight. Two legs performed within the same connection will not be validated.
• For the IVAO tracker to record the entire flight, you must be connected at least 2 min before take-off and remain connected at least 2 min after landing.
• Compliance with speed restrictions is essential and will be particularly checked during corrections. Reminder: for combat aircraft, 350 kt maximum below FL100 and M0.95 maximum above FL100. The maximum speed in the high-speed low altitude network (RTBA) is set at 450 kt for fighters.
• Legs (7 and 16) involving flight in the high-speed low altitude network (RTBA) may only be flown on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 08:00 to 00:00 UTC and on Fridays and Saturdays from 14:00 to 00:00 UTC when the corresponding areas are active. Outside these time slots, RTBA flights are prohibited, and the leg will be refused.
• Legs (2, 3 and 5) involving flight into reserved areas may only be flown on Tuesday and Thursday from 07:00 UTC to 14:00 UTC local time and on Friday and Saturday from 14:00 UTC to 00:00 UTC when these areas are active. Outside of these time slots, flying over these zones is prohibited and the leg will be refused.
